I really don't like to wear makeup, but of course I have to for work. My makeup artist at Wheel is named Cherie Whitaker. It takes her about one hour to make me up. She has to put on quite a lot due to the bright lights and high-definition cameras!When I'm not taping the show, I rarely wear any makeup except for a little bronzer on my face and a little mascara and some lip gloss. That's about it off camera.
I never go to bed with makeup on. I always scrub my face really well with face wash on a washcloth. I try to give myself a mini facial every couple of weeks to keep my pores clean from all the makeup I have to wear when I work.
Do you have any special makeup tips or tricks?

the make-up the better it doesn't make your face
real shinny. You don't need me to tell you that.

Oh I do remember reading that in your book that you don't like to wear make up but thats OK becuse were all different. I like to wear make up and see haw I look and sometimes I think I look like Vanna White on Wheel Of Fortune! To me Vanna you look great with your make up on the Wheel Of Fortune set even if you hate to wear it!

I want to say I would love to have the makeup on you. You seem to glow with it. I don't go out the house with wearing makeup. Unfortunately I do not have the money to ever own the good stuff. I was operated on in Aug. 2000 and am in the bed most of the time but love watching the show.
You have a beautiful interbody and a outerbody. You also have a great soul and I have never seen you on TV with out that confidencce and grace that you carry so well. If I could afford a nose job, that would be wonderful for me, for I hate the hump on my nose,that happended when I fell into the door. i remember when wof started; you must have the same dna structure as dick clark because you haven't aged! (wish this usmc wife and mom of four could look in the mirror and say the same thing about herself, lol) i have found that the simplest things help my 40+ year-old face: a light scrub of brown sugar and a light moisturizer of olive oil work great. my makeup drawer looks like a kitchen cabinet, lol. btw, you have lovely children who look happy in their eyes, as well as with their mom's award-winning smile ;-)

dear vanna, hi i know its been awhile since i send you a message, but yes i really do think you are right about the make-up thing, i think you look beautiful, gorgeous with and without make-up and you look terrific in all your dresses too, yes when i was in my 20 to 30 yrs old i used to wear to much makeup, but now vanna white i cut back now. so you are right make -up is for actors and actresses only. i absolutely love all your make-up and outfits combined. so please continue to stress to women that they look good no matter what. you do a wonderful, and terrific job on wheel and so does pat sajak too, happy holidays to you both, love you both bigtime. love your loyal wheel watcher, anne-marie m. gething ps your no1 fan always!
