It surprises me that people recognize me when I am dressed in sweats, a pony tail and no makeup. People are used to seeing me all dressed up, glamorous and glittery when I'm on the show.
I was in Venice, Italy last year standing on a bridge with gondolas passing underneath when a lady yelled out to me from one and asked, "Aren't you Vanna White?" I could not believe that she recognized me standing in a crowd with a baseball cap and no makeup on!

I'd recognize you anywhere
Dear Vanna,
With your presence being so effervescent (SP), I am sure that any true fan of yours could easily identify you on the streets. That is one thing that is so impressive about you - that you are easily recognizable but stay out of the scandal pages. Without make-up I am sure you are still beautiful. Don't worry, some day there will be a "Wheel" in every country, thanks to you & Pat!

Vanna I can reconize you with you beautiful smile and your hairstyle.
Vanna IS beautiful without makeup, so anyone is going to notice her even if it takes a second or two to realize who she is!
Oh ya Vanna I do remember hearing about people walking up to you and asked you are you Vanna White? it was in your book Vanna Speaks as you remember and you heard a voice saying will the real Vanna White please stand up! Vanna I do know what you look like with make up or without so yes I would know that it's my best fan Vanna White!

It would be difficult to not recognize you, and Pat also, after watching you night after night, year after year.

With or without make-up, you still look like the girl next door, great looking and gracious. Also I consider you one of the very few in the industry that I would refer to as being a "lady" in the true sense of the word. May you have many more fine years in the business. My best to both you and Pat, take care and God bless.

Hi Vanna,
I happened to watch a replay of Rachel Ray's show here on cable TV yesterday where you were the special guest. It was nice to see a different side of you - a truly simple, honest and refreshing glimpse of you. Thank you for inspiring your viewers to love both family and work :-)
Blessings on your new year!

Hi, Vanna!
My husband and I were in Sedona, Arizona, on May 6, 7, or 8 of last year, 2009. I can't remember for sure, which day we were there. My sister and I were in a store, and my husband was sitting outside waiting for us. When we came out, he insisted that he had just seen you! For over a year and a half now, every time we watch Wheel, he insists that it WAS you he saw in Sedona.
Is it possible he really did see you walking by the shops in "downtown" Sedona? He'd love knowing whether he was "crazy" or not! Thanks!
I was searching today to learn about crocheting and ran across this site from an endorsement for some yarn. Though I never really watched a full show, as icons I knew who you and Pat were.
I wanted to share this sweet story. My Grandfather, David Clark from Florida is passed away now, but he was a faithful viewer of your show. He always said, "Gotta go watch, Spin a Wheel!" :) Sweet memories, I guess a lot of elderly people almost see you as family.
They so need something in their latter days that will keep them sharp minded. Grandpa guessed the phrases long before anyone else ever did.
Thanks for a show that my Grandpa loved,
Donna Lane
I am a admirer of you and have been for many years. I do so enjoy wheel of fortune and look forward to seeing you many more years.Keep up the good work.

My husband and I watch "Wheel" faithfully every night at 6:30. We always talk to the TV and say "Hi Pat and Vanna!"
When I was younger, I used to babysit 3 girls. The only 2 shows they were allowed to watch were "Wheel of Fortune" and "Dukes of Hazzard"!
