TOILET SEAT

| | Comments (12)
Ladies, how many times have you almost fallen into the toilet when you sat down because your man or your son did not put the toilet seat down? Well, there probably isn't much we can do about it if they are over seven years old but for those young boys that are yet to be potty trained, I have a solution. When you are teaching your son to go potty, make sure he ALWAYS puts down the toilet seat when he finishes his business. It will become a habit for him at that young age and hopefully he will continue doing it for the rest of his life!

Great suggestion! I've done the same with my 2 boys.

Here's another suggestion. Look at what you're sitting on *before* you sit down.

I wonder why a man is suppose to put the seat down.
Why don't women put it up for a man?

Why did you sleep with a teddybear?

Vanna what a great thing to do!
I'll teach that to my kids when I get them!
Thanks for your tips and tricks!

Hi Vanna,
WOW I can relate to this. IF I find the toilet seat up I ask why it was not put back down and the latest reply I get is...Well why didn't you leave it up for us ? Go figure...:~) Do you have a good comeback for this one ???

Maybe it would be a good practice to look before you "leap" or in this case sit.

Vanna;

We did the same as you with our sons. It works...however, we noticed that now when they come home from college, once in a while they slip up and leave the seat and lid up....but that is on a rare occasion. Cultivate good habits when they are young! Thanks for your great tips!

Hopefully he will retain the habit 100% of the time but I doubt it. I think we have to wait another 1 million years of evolutionary time for that one! Funny observation, Vanna!

Not only put the seat down, but the entire lid,A bathroom should be fair to use for all and also look good for all .

Vanna,

My Mother-in-law, bless her heart, taught me how to head this problem off. When potty training you sons, teach them to sit. This also avoids nasty splashes and clean-ups for a lifetime, and wives everywhere will love you! She did this with her son, I did this with my sons. 20 years and we're still all happy!
