Here's how you can determine if a public place has a two-way mirror. Place the tip of your fingernail against the reflective surface. If there is a gap between your fingernail and the image of your nail, then it is a genuine mirror. However, if your fingernail directly touches the image of your nail, then beware...for it is a two-way mirror!

Kitchen Tip
One way to keep old porcelain kitchen sinks clean is to leave a 1/4 cup dishwash powder mixed with 1 qt. water in bottom of the sink for 30 minutes and it will clean up nice and bright!
Cool tip. Never paid that much attention to the mirrors before but now I'll be putting my fingernail up against every dressing room mirror I encounter!
Vanna,
That's a wild tip. I never would have thought of something like that! Maybe you should have been a Bond Girl... ;-)

GOSH! And hear I've been stripping down to nothing in these little dressing rooms trying on clothes. Don't think that will happen again, unless I want to Model.
I will be sure to pass this on to others, and mainly my daughter! Thanks!
Thanks for the tip! In the back of my mind I always wonder about the mirrors in public places, and now I won't have to worry about it :)
