I Want To Be On TV

| | Comments (17)
I remember the first time I knew that I wanted to be on TV. I was about 10 years old and I was watching this TV show called "Rat Patrol". My mother told me that the man on the show (Christopher George) was my uncle. I was mesmerized. I thought to myself, "I want to be on TV too!" That thought never left me! I was driven to be a movie star or something similar! That was my dream and I followed it. So, if you have a dream, believe in it! Don't give up! Your dreams can come true!

Right on Vanna.

I always think of you and your uncle's inspiration--Christopher George "THE IMMORTAL" was my favorite show growing up, we used to play him as kids! SAM SEGAL

Vanna, I really want to tell the producers how much I love youy expression when winners hug after big win. You look geniunely happy for them. Love you and your show and wish I could be on it.
Sincerely, Liz

I've watched the show since I can remember and made it my goal to be on the Wheel of Fortune. I even played the earliest version of the Wheel computer game that ran on DOS and owned a hand-held electronic WOF game when I got older. What I was excited for most when I turned 18 was to sign up to be on WOF. I keep signing up online and try to find out when the Wheel bus is coming to my town. Five years later I haven't even heard a peep about WOF tryouts. I'd be a great contestant, too!

The first time I wanted to be on TV was the first time I saw Vanna White walk out from behind the letter wall on the original set of Wheel of Fortune. I thought she was the most beautiful thing ever! That was back in 1986! I still am amazed every time she walks out with Pat! I even get as close to my screen to look for signs of age. There aren't any!!!!! I have been told that I look, sound and act like her. I even played her in a high school skit.....20 years ago. I am getting older, but she isn't!!!! I still want to be on TV every time I see her.

I love a person with a positive attitude. I've watched Wheel of Fortune for many years. I'm an Author and began writing my "Hillary King Mystery series" under the name of Lois Browning Bauer after I retired as an office manager in 1986. I'm 76 now, have 5 published books, going to a convention in Tucson in September hoping to find an agent to turn that series into film. "Never give up" is my motto also! I am amazed at how young and positive you remain, Vanna. You're an inspiration that no matter one's age, it's important to keep thinking "young", looking "young" and believing you can reach your ultimate goal!

I have been a fan of the show since the beginning. I am a retired Air Force Msgt(24yrs), will be 60 in Oct and on Nov 7th I will run my 104th marahon. I have ran a lot of the majors around the world including Boston and will run New York in November. All of those achievements would pale in comparison to being on Wheel and getting to meet you and pat.
Hope to meet you two one day.

Hi! Vanna
My kids and I make a point of watching you & Pat every day. Kind of a family night we even pop pocorn and try to solve the puzzle together. My kids know that this is my favorite show on T.V. and if I know I am going to miss it they record it for me so we can play it later. Anyways My daughter and I have a dream of being on your show and I was even invited for the audition which was held at Raddison by the LAX near one of your locations. Anyhow it was one of the best experiences for me to be able to get so close and I even solved the puzzle the first time around "Late Night show with Jimmy Fallon" I still remember everything. The prize was your butifu picture with Pat which I framed and hung it in the kids playroom downstairs so everybody can see. Everything was excellent but for some reason I wasn't picked out from the winners. I always wondered about it, I wanted to know why so I can do better next time. I haven't heard anything yet but hope one day I will. If at first you don't succeed try-try-try again.
Love the Show

me and my kids love solving the puzzels on the TV. well now we have upgraded to play on the play station 2 and its been a great play. now we have decided to sign up and win a trip to play real live with Vanna.

I'm glad you did follow your dream, or we would not have had the pleasure of watching you every night.
And I remember Christopher George. He was a babe!

if you ask my granddaughter what she wants to be when she grows up her answer is Vanna white she never waviers from this answer. she thinks Vanna has the best job in the world and hopes someday she can walk in her shoe's even if only for one day.

I want to be on TV show one day to how itrs like to be seen on camera.
