Theater Rentals & Projection
The Sony Pictures Projection Department operates a total 14 screening rooms on the studio lot, ranging in capacity from 28 to 325 seats. Our theaters are capable of screening all playback formats including visual FX (DPX) files, Avid Media files, Digital Cinema Packages, 35 mm and 70 mm film among others.
The department supports all phases of filmmaking, from playback of production dailies to re-recording and final Digital Cinema Package review. Our services also extend beyond the studio lot as we provide technical support for a variety of external events including Research Screenings, Press Junkets and World Premieres both domestically and internationally.
