Our Corporate Social Responsibility efforts are focused on arts, education, diversity and the environment, as well as giving in the communities closest to our headquarters.

  • Arts & Education
    • As we look to develop the next generation’s creative workforce and leadership, Sony Pictures is committed to supporting arts in the community where we live and work. The company has helped establish and fund unique programs such as a dedicated visual and performing arts curriculum at the Culver City High School and the Sony Pictures Media Arts Program with California Institute for the Arts and the City of Los Angeles Department of Cultural Affairs.
  • Environment
    • Sony Pictures is committed to playing our part towards greater environmental responsibility. In line with Sony Corporation’s Road to Zero program, we are an ISO 14001 certified studio as well as promote a number of initiatives under the Sony Pictures a Greener World banner. The site offers information about Sony Pictures’ ongoing efforts to reduce its carbon footprint, engage employees to live sustainably and create more global awareness for environmental practices.

      Grants are evaluated for project or program’s expected outcomes and demonstrations of good community investments. Please note, however, due to limited funds, priority is given to grants aimed at arts and culture, education, the environment, diversity initiatives and workplace training as it relates to the entertainment industry.       On occasion, Sony Pictures Entertainment can help community-based organizations through in-kind/non-cash donations. Examples include auction items, excess equipment (capital assets), services, studio rentals and branded give-away items. The availability and variety of these materials and services varies greatly and may require additional lead time.
