Alex Kostich Promoted To Vice President, Creative Advertising For Sony Pictures Releasing International

CULVER CITY, Ca., September 15, 2009 - Alex Kostich has been promoted to vice president, Creative Advertising for Sony Pictures Releasing International, it was announced today by Ignacio Darnaude, executive vice president of Creative Advertising for SPRI.

Kostich is responsible for SPRI's print advertising campaigns internationally, overseeing one sheets, newspaper advertisements and collateral marketing material. He reports to Darnaude. Kostich has worked on campaigns for such blockbuster films as Spider-Man 2 and 3, The Da Vinci Code, Casino Royale, Quantum of Solace, and Angels & Demons, among many others. He is also the liaison for SPRI's 65 international offices around the world for print-related issues for the studio's releases. He is currently working on campaigns for Cloudy with a Chance of Meatballs, 2012, Zombieland, and Did You Hear About the Morgans?

Commenting on the announcement, Darnaude said, "Alex's creative contributions and scope of knowledge of the individual local markets have made him an invaluable member of our team. He has made key contributions to each of Sony's campaigns overseas and I'm thrilled to recognize his efforts with this well-deserved promotion."

Kostich joined SPRI as director, Creative Advertising in 2003. Before joining Sony, Kostich served Warner Bros. Pictures for 10 years in a variety of roles, including the studio's New Line Cinema, where he worked on Austin Powers and Final Destination franchises.
