"Wheel Of Fortune" Names Bob Cisneros Director

CULVER CITY (November 19, 2013) - Bob Cisneros has been promoted to Director of the #1 syndicated game show, WHEEL OF FORTUNE, it was announced today by Executive Producer Harry Friedman.

Cisneros is no newcomer to WHEEL OF FORTUNE, having joined the popular game show as stage manager in 1987 while on staff at CBS Television. He later made the move to the control room and took on the duties of associate director. Following Dick Carson and the late Mark Corwin, Cisneros becomes only the 3rd director in the syndicated series' 31 year history.

"Bob has been an extremely valuable member of the Wheel family for more than twenty-five years," Friedman said. "We are so pleased to continue our tradition of promoting from within and delighted to see Bob in the director's chair."

Cisneros' story is truly one of hard work and "paying your dues". After graduation, he took a job in the mailroom at CBS Television City and in a few short years worked his way up from the mailroom to a middle management position as production supervisor. Some of the shows he was responsible for included The Young and The Restless, The Price Is Right, The Bold and Beautiful, Press Your Luck, and The Rose Parade. In 1987, Cisneros made the move to become a staff stage manager at CBS where he worked on many shows including The Price Is Right, Family Feud, High Rollers, The New Gong Show, The Young and The Restless, The Bold and The Beautiful, NBA and NFL games, numerous pilots, specials and finally WHEEL OF FORTUNE.

Cisneros and his wife Rita reside in Thousand Oaks, CA.
