• Sony Pictures Classics To Release  Michael Dweck And Gregory Kershaw’s  The Truffle Hunters In Theaters December 25

    NEW YORK (August 28, 2020) – Sony Pictures Classics announced today that they will release Michael Dweck and Gregory Kershaw’s THE TRUFFLE HUNTERS in theaters on December 25, 2020. It was announced this week that the documentary will screen at the Toronto International Film Festival, capping off a string of previous acceptances into the Cannes, Telluride, and New York Film Festivals. The documentary premiered at the Sundance Film Festival to excellent reviews earlier this year, where it was acquired by Sony Pictures Classics.

Located in the studio’s Thalberg parking lot, the drive-in will begin its run Friday, August 14 and will showcase several Sony Pictures library titles.     Culver City, CA – August 5, 2020 -- Sony Pictures Television (SPT) announced today that it has launched Sony Canal, a new free, ad-supported television (FAST) destination for Spanish speaking viewers in the US. Sony Canal’s portfolio of channels will feature original programming from SPT International Production’s robust library of premium content. Targeting the rapidly growing US Hispanic audience, the first offerings from Sony Canal will consist of two Spanish-language channels focusing on distinct genres: competition series and game shows, and comedies.

  • Sony Pictures Classics Sets New Release Date For Michael Covino’s The Climb

    NEW YORK (July 20, 2020) – Sony Pictures Classics announced today that they will now release Michael Covino’s THE CLIMB in New York and Los Angeles theaters on October 9, 2020, with additional cities to follow.  Written by Covino and Kyle Marvin, THE CLIMB stars Covino, Marvin, Gayle Rankin, Talia Balsam, George Wendt and Judith Godrèche.  The film was original slated for a March 20th release but was postponed due to COVID-19 Stay-At-Home orders.

  • Funimation To Expand Streaming Service To Mexico And Brazil Beginning Fall 2020

    Culver City, CA (July 3, 2020) Funimation, the leading global anime content provider, today announced it is expanding its streaming service to Latin America this fall.
