Musician Steve Hightower (Steve Harvey) feels lost amid the rap culture of Chicago's Booker T. Washington High School. But his last paid gig was years ago, and with the help of his friend, coach Cedric (Cedric the Entertainer) he's landed a job as the new music teacher. When the principal (Wendy Raquel Robinson) turns out to be a former fat girl he harassed as a child, his problems are only just beginning.
