Entertainment One Joins Tristar Pictures’ Holiday Romantic Comedy <em>Happiest Season</em> Starring Kristen Stewart And Mackenzie Davis

Film from Director Clea DuVall to be Released in U.S. on November 20, 2020.

Culver City, CA [May 15, 2019] – It was announced today that Entertainment One (eOne) has come aboard TriStar Pictures’ Happiest Season and will co-finance the holiday-season romantic comedy.
 
Additionally, TriStar Pictures has set a U.S. release date of November 20, 2020. eOne will handle distribution for the United Kingdom and Canada with TriStar Pictures distributing in all other territories.
 
Happiest Season, scheduled to begin production in January 2020, will star Kristen Stewart and Mackenzie Davis and is written by Clea DuVall and Mary Holland. DuVall, who was recently recognized as one of The Alice Initiative’s top 20 rising filmmakers, will also direct, making this her first studio project. Marty Bowen and Isaac Klausner of Temple Hill are producing.
 
Happiest Season captures the story of a young woman (Stewart) whose plan to propose to her girlfriend (Davis) while at her family’s annual holiday party is upended when she discovers her partner hasn’t yet come out to her conservative parents.
  
Hannah Minghella and Shary Shirazi are overseeing the project for TriStar Pictures. Nick Meyer and Zev Foreman are overseeing for eOne.
 
Clea DuVall is represented by Gersh and Ginsburg Daniels Kallis. Mary Holland is represented by ICM Partners, Primary Wave Entertainment and Ziffren Brittenham.
