NEW YORK, NY – Sony Pictures Classics announced today that they have acquired worldwide rights to BEDFORD PARK, written and directed by Stephanie Ahn. The film, Ahn’s feature directorial debut, had its world premiere at the 2026 Sundance Film Festival and took home the U.S. Dramatic Special Jury Award for Debut Feature. This marks Sony Pictures Classics’ second acquisition out of the festival.

NEW YORK (January 16, 2026) – Sony Pictures Classics announced today that they have acquired all rights worldwide to UNTITLED TOM MCCARTHY film from Academy Award^® winner McCarthy (SPOTLIGHT, THE VISITOR). NEW YORK (November 4, 2025) – Sony Pictures Classics announced today that they will release THE PRESIDENT’S CAKE on February 6, 2026 in select theaters, before expanding nationwide on February 27, 2026. The film will have a one-week qualifying run in New York and Los Angeles starting on December 12, 2025. The feature debut from writer and director Hasan Hadi was submitted by Iraq as their official entry for the Best International Feature category for the 2026 Academy Awards^®.
