Offering a unique mix of high-quality content, Crackle's ad-supported service features original series, an unmatched collection of full-length television shows, and unedited motion pictures from the vast Sony Pictures library. Crackle can be accessed on Google TV through the Spotlight section.

Culver City, Calif - October 20, 2010 - Columbia Pictures has optioned the rights for the non-fiction book Emergency!: This Book Will Save Your Life by Neil Strauss to be developed into a feature film produced by Robert Downey Jr., Susan Downey, and Michael DeLuca, it was announced today by Doug Belgrad and Matt Tolmach, presidents of Columbia Pictures. The project is being considered as a possible starring vehicle for Downey. Allan Loeb (Wall Street 2, Dilemma) is writing the screenplay.

Culver City, Calif - October 19, 2010 - Columbia Pictures has optioned the rights for the non-fiction book Sony Pictures Entertainment (SPE) today announced that the Environmental Media Association selected twelve Sony/Columbia Pictures films to receive EMA Green Seal Awards. The films recognized include Eat, Pray, Love; SALT, The Green Hornet, The Social Network, Grown Ups, Karate Kid, Bad Teacher, Battle: Los Angeles, The Other Guys, Anonymous, How Do You Know, and Just Go With It.

London - 19 October 2010 - Sony Pictures Television (SPT) today announced that it has appointed Eddie Nelson as senior vice president, EMEA Networks. CULVER CITY, CA (October 11, 2010)— Rhys Ifans will play the villain, opposite Andrew Garfield as Peter Parker and Emma Stone as Gwen Stacy, in the next installment of Spider-Man from Columbia Pictures and Marvel Studios, it was announced today by Amy Pascal, co-chairman of Sony Pictures Entertainment and Matt Tolmach, president of Columbia Pictures. The film, to be directed by Marc Webb from a screenplay by James Vanderbilt and produced by Avi Arad and Laura Ziskin, will begin production in December and will be released in theaters nationwide in 3D on July 3, 2012.

CULVER CITY, CA (October 8, 2010)— David O. Russell (Three Kings, The Fighter) has been set to write and direct Columbia Pictures' Uncharted: Drake's Fortune, an action-adventure based upon the bestselling PlayStation 3 game, it was announced today by Doug Belgrad and Matt Tolmach, presidents of Columbia Pictures. The film will be produced by Avi Arad, Charles Roven, and Alex Gartner.

The story follows the adventures of treasure hunter Nathan Drake.

CULVER CITY, CA (October 5, 2010)— Emma Stone has been cast as the female lead in the upcoming Spider-Man film from Columbia Pictures and Marvel Studios, it was announced today by Amy Pascal, co-chairman of Sony Pictures Entertainment and Matt Tolmach, president of Columbia Pictures. Stone has been tapped for the role of Gwen Stacy opposite Andrew Garfield as Peter Parker.
