Sony Pictures Classics announced today that they have acquired all rights in North America, Latin America, the Middle East, and Australia/New Zealand to Academy Award® nominee DK Welchman and Academy Award® winner Hugh Welchman’s THE PEASANTS, which Poland has submitted as their official entry for the Best International Feature category for this year’s Academy Awards®. This follows the news that the short will premiere as an official selection at the 2023 Cannes Film Festival.
